What we do

Bristol GP Education has been developed over the past 5 years, and is continually being refined and extended. Our aim is to provide high quality, interactive education that meets both GPs individual learning needs and the demands of GP appraisal. We also recognise the need for effective support in general practice, and offer a range of services to enable GPs to access this support.

Until the end of 2009, we were part of the Severn Deanery. Since the Deanery no longer funds CPD, either locally or in other areas, we are now independent while retaining links to it. The managers/directors of each GP education provider in the Severn Deanery area (Bristol, Somerset, Bath, Gloucester, Swindon and Weston) meet regularly, supported by the Deanery, to share ideas and ensure quality and breadth of education provision throughout the area.
