Membership and education provision for practice nurses and other health professionals

Cost

Practice nurses are welcome to join the Bristol GP education scheme at a cost of £100. This entitles them to attend:

• up to 4 events from our ‘core’ courses
• any number of additional courses with the same discounts we offer to GP members

Alternatively, nurses can come to a single day of education for £40.

Courses available

Nurses can come to any courses that they would find beneficial. Events that may be of particular interest in 2012 include:

• Cancer and palliative care
• Diabetes
• Respiratory medicine
• CPR
• Women’s health
• Motivational interviewing
• Elderly medicine
• Patients with disabilities
• Child protection
• Sexual health
• CKD and urology
• Effective teaching skills
• Paediatric emergencies
